Uitgeverij J.H. Gottmer/H.J.W. Becht BV was established in 1940 by the printer Jan Hendrik Gottmer. Records of the Dutch Trade Registry of that period read: ‘J.H. Gottmer (City of Haarlem, The Netherlands) requests legitimization as a publisher. Resolved is to grant this requested legitimization.’
We are now sixty-five years further and Gottmer Publishing Group has grown into a dynamic, versatile and modern concern with a well established and distinguished publisher’s list and thirty people on staff.
